A childhood history of growing up in Pennsylvania countryside and observing earth’s formations has become a thematic influence in her work. Inspired by old growth forests, desert landscapes and west coast beaches, her desire is to share a visually healing meditation on environmental beauty.
Throughout the years, she has mastered varied styles and techniques. Color on color, whimsical washes and multi- layered paintings are created using various mediums of oil and acrylic paints, chalk pastels, mono-prints, and rubbings. Her love of color is expressed throughout her work, from chunks of vibrant acrylic paints, delicate gold leaf to ethereal tones of inter-woven chalk pastels.
Carolyn’s numerous curated and juried art exhibits include those held in Los Angeles, CA and Vancouver, BC, Canada. Her arts works are found in many private and corporate collections in both US and Canada.
